Description

Fancy upload - a flash based file uploader - doesn't work with Flash 10 for eComStation. You can test it at:

http://digitarald.de/project/fancyupload/3-0/showcase/photoqueue/

In the screenshot, how it appears on Windows XP with current Flash plugin.

At http://digitarald.de/project/fancyupload/#compatibility it says: "Fully compatible with all A-Grade Browsers (Internet Explorer 6+, Opera 9, Firefox 1.5+ and Safari 3+) with Adobe Flash 9 and 10 player."

is this still true with latest flash beta?
i did a quick look at the site, but for me it seems like it's Ajax based and not flash

Hi Silvan,

yes, it uses Flash, please see this comment:

http://digitarald.de/project/fancyupload/3-0/showcase/photoqueue/#comment-14786889

and the following one by the coder. Please note that I don't like this stuff at all, but I have to use it for work :-)

The problem is still here with the latest beta: buttons are inactive and the progress bars are partially painted since the beginning.

Still true, just tested with flash_ecs_041_ga-release.exe and firefox-17.0.5.en-US.os2.beta_2.zip.

Please note that I have now also SSH access to the server, so I'm not forced to use Fancyupload anymore. If you want to keep the ticket open for test purposes it's fine, otherwise you can close it.

Just tested with flash_ecs_0_4_2_GA.exe, same as 04.1: it behaves correctly until I press the "Start upload" button (I get the Browse file window, can select the file and the file appears in the uploaded), then nothing happens.
